Here's what is happening in the markets today, Wednesday, May 26th.

According to the CDC, more than 130 million Americans are fully vaccinated. That’s 39.3%. And 49.4% of the US population received at least one shot. For ages 18 and older, 62% have received at least one shot. And 9 states - Connecticut, Hawaii, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont - have even vaccinated 70% of their adult population with at least one dose.

“Recovering stocks” are up this morning:
Royal Caribbean (RCL) is up 4%, 
United Airlines (UAL) is up 1%,
Wynn (WYNN) is up 0.75%

Bitcoin is hovering around $40,000 - so all is good?

Earnings:
Dick’s Sporting Goods (DKS) reported better than expected earnings. Dick’s also gave a full-year outlook that exceeds the current Wall Street consensus. Shares surged 7% in premarket action.

Urban Outfitters (URBN) soared 10% in premarket trading after the company more than tripled its profits. The apparel retailer’s revenue beat forecasts as well, and comparable-store sales were up 51% as more shoppers returned to stores after being vaccinated.

Nordstrom (JWN) lost $1.05 per share for the first quarter, wider than the 57 cents a share loss that analysts were expecting. The department store revenue beat consensus estimates. Overall results were impacted by price markdowns necessary to reduce excess holiday season inventory. Nordstrom shares tumbled 7.2% in the premarket.

Gamestop (GME) is back: GME moved 16% higher yesterday and is trading 8% higher this morning. 

Are commodities getting cheaper again? 
Lumber, Soybeans and Corn are all getting cheaper.

Dow Jones Industrial Average celebrates 125 years!
The index of 12 smokestack companies closed that first trading day, May 26, 1896, at 40.94. It has risen an average of 7.69% each year

Home prices: The median price of a new home jumped 11.4% in April to $372,400.

Guy Fieri's new deal with the Food Network will earn him $80 million over three years, according to Forbes, making him the highest-paid chef on cable TV. And it's still a good deal for the network. Fieri's show Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives generated more than $230 million in ad revenue last year.
